External sealing Nilos ring type AV.

Nilos rings are galvanized steel seal rings pressed for use with bearings. They are external sealing (AV) or internal sealing (JV). The sealing edge will wear away a small groove in the bearing ring that will act as a maze seal to help prevent dirt from entering and retain grease in the bearing. 

Types ZAV and ZJV are designed for bearings with shields or seals already installed.

Only suitable for self-aligning bearings where the self-aligning movement is less than 1°
