9D1B ARDROX

ARDROX 996 P is a red penetrating liquid that includes solvents, pigments, surfactants and inhibitors in its formulation.
ARDROX 996P meets the following specifications:
ARDROX 996 P included in QPL-AMS 2644-1 Type 2 Method C
ARDROX 996 P is used in the inspection of welds, castings and forged parts and in general throughout the metallurgical industry.
Significant application cites pore detection.
The inspection process with penetrating liquids requires a number of steps as follows:
- Pre-cleaning ARDROX 996 P
Before applying the penetrant, the surface to be inspected must be perfectly clean after any contaminants have been removed, shell, paint, grease and in general.
The cleaning process will depend on the type of contamination, material, part size, etc. In some cases it is sufficient to use the 9PR5 ARDROX as a solvent in pre-cleaning.
- Application of the ARDROX 996 P
ARDROX 996 P be applied by immersion or spray (conventional, electrostatic or spray), brush, etc. Any method is correct as long as the area to be inspected is covered by the penetrant. The penetrant will be allowed to stay in contact with the surface to be inspected for 15 to 40 minutes, although in most cases 20 minutes are sufficient.
- Elimination of excess Penetrating 996 ARDROX 996 P
The penetrant will be removed first by a clean cloth. The surface will then be rubbed with a cloth soaked with ARDROX 9 PR5. Do not direct the spray jet directly onto the surface being inspected.
- Application of the 996 ARDROX Developer P
The developer layer should be applied very carefully to prevent its thickness from masking small defects. The most common revelators are ARDROX 9 D1B and ARDROX 9 D1. These revelators are solvent-based and evaporate quickly.
- Inspection of ARDROX 996 P
The inspection should be carried out immediately after the developer has been applied and after ten minutes. Cracks appear as red continuous lines and pores as red dots.
